📝 Project Overview 📝

Tezos is a project that is developing the world’s first “Self-evolving” blockchain. A blockchain that can amend itself through a process of on-chain governance.

It is also a smart contract blockchain which means that developers can build dApps on it like that can on blockchains such as Ethereum.

⚙️ Technology ⚙️

Tezos has what is called “liquid proof of stake” (LPoS) for their consensus.

With the LPoS mechanism on Tezos, users will be rewarded for helping to maintain consensus on the blockchain.

Tezos also offers a formal process through which stakeholders can efficiently govern the protocol and implement future innovations.

Tezos also uses a generic network shell which is compatible with the different transaction and consensus protocols a blockchain needs.

The source code of Tezos was implemented in OCaml – different from most.

💰️ Token 💰

The Native coin behind Tezos is the “Tezzies”. These have a ticker XTZ.

Tezzies were issued in one of the largest ICOs of 2017. They raised 66,000 Bitcoin and 361,000 Ethereum for a total of just over $232 million at the time.

These were sold to contributors in the ICO at a price of 47 cents per Tezzie.

👨‍💻️ Team, Partners & Development 👨‍💻

Tezos was founded by Arthur and Kathleen Breitman. They have backgrounds in Algorithmic trading and consulting.

They had been building Tezos for two years prior to this and they have the backing from Polychain capital and Tim Draper.

📈 Trading & Wallets 📈

XTZ is currently trading on BitMax, Kraken, OceanEx, Huobi and Gate io.

There is decent volume for the coin across most of the top exchanges. This implies healthy levels of liquidity – so easy execution for large block orders.

Wallet options will depend on what you intend to do with your Tezzies. If you are going to be baking then you should use a wallet such as Galleon or TezBox.

There are also a number of third party wallets that you can use.
